Macy's says advertisements will NOT appear again during the Teen Nick show Degrassi, a program which promotes the transgender lifestyle and other inappropriate behavior to children.

Emails from Florida Family Association supporters appear to have gotten Macy's attention on this issue.

Macy's says advertisements will NOT appear again during the Teen Nick show Degrassi, a program which promotes the transgender lifestyle and other inappropriate behavior to children.

Florida Family Association sent out an email alert early Thursday, December 1, 2011 which  reported that Macy’s was a leading advertiser during the Teen Nick Show Degrassi.  This show which airs dozens of times each week promotes the transgender and homosexual lifestyles and other inappropriate behavior to an audience made up of almost exclusively teens and children.  The Full Report on this Original Article is published below.

Several advertisements ran during numerous Degrassi episodes that promoted different products “sold exclusively at Macy’s” followed by a long full television screen showing the Macy’s sign.    Florida Family Association sent several emails to the CEO during the past two weeks but did not receive a response from Macy’s until the email alert went out and Florida Family Association supporters sent emails to Macy’s officials.

Macy’s says there will be no more Macy’s ads or use of their name during future Degrassi episodes.  Here is the  email exchange which took place between Macy’s and Florida Family Association after the Florida Family Association’s email alert was released:

Mr. Caton: Terry Lundgren asked that I respond to your three emails. Thank you for writing, for expressing your opinion, and for letting us know about the ads run on Degrassi. The ads you referenced were not created, placed or paid for by Macy's.

Periodically, our merchandise suppliers place ads promoting their products, which may be identified as being sold at Macy's and/or other retailers. As noted, the ads referenced in your email were not produced, placed or paid for by Macy's. We are reminding our suppliers that they should carefully review the programs where their ads are scheduled to run.

As you know, Macy's is proud of its philosophy of diversity and inclusion. We welcome all customers to Macy's and hope to see you shopping with us soon.

Please feel free to share this response with your constituency. –Jim

All of these ads contained full screen displays of the Macy's logo and audio saying "exclusively" at Macy's.  Most episodes contained at least two ads.  It is hard to believe that dozens of these ads touting Exclusively at Macy's are not your company's ads.

Does this mean that no further Macy's ads will appear during the DEGRASSI show?

That is correct. As noted, Macy's is not advertising on this show. (Note that 95% of all advertising that carries the Macy's name is produced/placed by Macy's.)  We cannot absolutely control ads created/placed by other companies, but I doubt you will be seeing any ads tagged with a Macy's logo on the show.

Florida Family Association is far from convinced that Macy’s was not involved in these ads which so prominently displayed their name as the only place to buy these products.  However, this is an outstanding result since these advertisements made up almost twenty percent of the ad space during Degrassi.

MORE GOOD NEWS!  Target ads have also stopped appearing during this show after their company officials received thousands of emails from supporters.  Target was a former leading advertiser during Degrassi.

Full Report on this Original Article

MTV is airing through their Teen Nick channel for kids episodes of the show called Degrassi which affirms and promotes the homosexual and transgender lifestyle and other inappropriate behavior to an audience of millions of young teens and children.

DEGRASSI HAS MANY EPISODES that include the relationship between a female to male transgender high school student named Adam (short hair) and a bi-sexual lesbian student named Fiona (long hair). The odds of this bizarre relationship occurring in high school are likely less than one in a million.  Yet, MTV feeds this salacious and irresponsible propaganda to an audience made up almost exclusively of young teens and children as if it were common place.

The When Love Takes Over Parts I and II episodes of Degrassi is described on TVGuide.com as "Adam (a female to male transgender character) is excited that he and Fiona (a bi-sexual, lesbian character ) are growing close."  This episode contains several scenes where Adam and Fiona kiss in a manner that is portrayed as normal and good.

The Chasing Pavements II episode of Degrassi contains graphic intimate relations between the female to male transgender character Adam and bi-sexual, lesbian character Fiona.  In one scene Fiona kisses Adam, pulls up Adam’s shirt and rubs her hand slightly above Adam’s groin.  Click here to see clips from this episode and numerous clips from other episodes showing Adam and Fiona kissing.

The My Body is a Cage I and II episodes of Degrassi contain Adam’s official announcement that she is a male trapped in a female body.   Click here for My Body is a Cage Part 2.

Teen Nick has also included in Degrassi a promo for TheTrevorHelpline.org.  The promo states in part "The Trevor helpline is a free and confidential service that's open for gay and questioning youth.  Be proud of who you are.  Saving lives."  Click here to see the promoted web site.

Photo:  The Trevor Help Line promotion aired during the Beat It episode when teen Riley (pictured right) declined reparative therapy for his homosexuality.  Click here for info on Riley's (highly unlikely) casting as open gay football captain and starting quarterback.

Degrassi's targeting of children and teens with homosexual and transgender content and promotions which encourage kids to call homosexual hotlines is irresponsible.

Macy's is the ONLY major retail store chain that is advertising on Degrassi.

The email link for supporters to send emails to Macy's officials has been deactivated.
