Florida Family Association is a national organization that is made up of thousands of supporters across America who share in the same goal of defending American values and improving America's moral environment. These supporters send more than one million emails every month to Corporate America officials associated with issues posted on this web site. Florida Family Association's accomplishments are a direct result of the dedicated people across the country who support the efforts of this organization.
Florida Family Association's mission statement in our IRS approved 501C3 application is to: Educate people on what they can do to defend, protect and promote traditional, biblical values.
Florida Family Association, Inc. is incorporated in the State of Florida as a non-profit corporation. Florida Family Association is a tax-exempt 501C3 corporation under the Internal Revenue Service Code. Contributions made to Florida Family Association are tax deductible and confidential.
Florida Family Association is not an affiliate or subsidiary of any other group. It is an independent organization with tens of thousands of supporters outside of Florida.
Operations and Finance
Florida Family Association chooses to pay independent contractors to perform several routine tasks that are technically demanding, ever changing and more costly to accomplish in house with employees. The relevant services include direct mail, mail processing, web design, internet software, web security, bulk email, email support, communications and custom television monitoring software. The cost for these services represent most of the financial statement line item titled Printing, Publications and Projects in Florida Family Association’s IRS Form 990. Using independent contractors provides cost saving expertise and minimizes the need for staff. This approach saves valuable resources and time that can be better spent toward important projects and increasing online participation.
Florida Family Association may reformalize some staff positions in the future. However, for now all energies are focused on developing and executing important projects and increasing the number of supporters who join our campaigns.
The IRS Form 990 for the most recent year filed for Florida Family Association, Inc. is posted here. David Caton signed the form as president. The IRS online Form 990 will not permit information to be entered into the signing portion of the form which is to be hand completed by the signing officer.
Candidates for Office
Florida Family Association does not support or oppose candidates running for office. Non-profit 501C3 organizations are not permitted to support or oppose candidates.

Limited legislative issues are presented at Floridafamily.org which provide the option for web visitors to contact legislators. Although Florida Family Association advocates a clear position on these limited issues online visitors can choose the position they take when sending emails on each issue. Should Florida Family Association file as a registered lobbyist with any government agency in the future the appropriate elections will be filed with the IRS.
