Florida Family Association is a national organization that is made up of tens of thousands of online subscribers across America who share in the same goal of defending American values. These supporters send close to two million emails every month to corporate and public officials associated with issues posted on this web site. Florida Family Association's accomplishments are a direct result of the dedicated people across the country who support the efforts of this organization. The organization is not an affiliate or subsidiary of any other group. It is an independent organization with tens of thousands of supporters outside of Florida.

Florida Family Association does not sell online advertising, books or memorabilia. This is done to maintain independence from the market place that Florida Family Association seeks to influence. Therefore, all financial support comes from individual donors who donate their resources to help defend America values.
Florida Family Association's mission statement in our IRS approved 501C3 application is to: Educate people on what they can do to defend, protect and promote traditional, biblical values.
Florida Family Association, Inc. is incorporated in the State of Florida as a non-profit corporation tax-exempt 501C3 corporation under the Internal Revenue Service Code. Contributions made to Florida Family Association are tax deductible and confidential.
Finance and tax returns
The IRS Form 990 for following years are posted here: 2015, 2014, 2013. David Caton signed the form as president. The IRS online Form 990 will not permit information to be entered into the signing portion of the form which is to be hand completed by the signing officer.
Florida Family Association chooses to pay independent contractors to perform several routine tasks that are technically demanding, ever changing and more costly to accomplish in house with employees. The relevant services include direct mail, mail processing, web design, internet software, web security, bulk email, email support, communications and custom television monitoring software.
Candidates for Office
Florida Family Association does not support or oppose candidates running for office. Non-profit 501C3 organizations are not permitted to support or oppose candidates.
The Florida Family Association office does not engage in direct lobbying. Limited legislative issues are presented at Floridafamily.org which provide the option for web visitors to contact legislators. Although Florida Family Association advocates a clear position on these limited issues online visitors can choose the position they take when sending emails on each issue. Should Florida Family Association file as a registered lobbyist with any government agency in the future the appropriate elections will be filed with the IRS.

David Caton founded the organization that is now called Florida Family Association in November 1987. David left a ten year accounting career as a corporate accounting controller in June of 1988 to become the executive director of Florida Family Association.
David Caton married Rachael in 1985. David and Rachael have two sons, Matthew (1987) and Caleb (1990).
