Pfizer stops advertising on Al Jazeera America aka CurrentTV.

Florida Family Association launched an email campaign on April 15, 2013 that targeted Pfizer because of the many ads that appeared on Al Jazeera America aka Current TV for Chantix, Enbrel, Lyrica and Viagra.

Thousands of Florida Family Association supporters sent emails to Pfizer urging them to stop advertising on Al Jazeera America.

Advertisements for Pfizer products Chantix, Lyrica and Viagra stopped airing on April 19, 2013.  However, Enbrel continued advertising under the marketing efforts of McKesson Corporation and Amgen, Inc.  Florida Family Association is communicating with both companies regarding Enbrel advertisements.

Florida Family Association supporters’ emails to advertisers are truly making the difference.

Al Jazeera, the Arabic news cable channel headquartered in the Middle East (Doha, Qatar), purchased the CurrentTV channel which has the potential of reaching millions of viewers in the United States.  Al Jazeera is a mouthpiece for radical Islamists.  Al Jazeera America is the new, tentative name for CurrentTV.
