Foster Grant started advertising frequently on Al Jazeera America aka CurrentTV during the week of June 10, 2013. FGX International owns Foster Grant.  FGX International also sells the following eyewear brand: Iron Man, Gargoyles, Solar Shield, Panama Jack, Dockers, Nine West, Body Glove, Magnivision, Sight Station, Jeff Banks, Private Eyes, Essence, Field & Stream.

Pfizer had not advertised the week of June 17, 2013 as of the date this email alert was issued.  It is too early to determine if Pfizer has stopped advertising on Al Jazeera America. A couple of other companies have indicated that their ads will stop by months end.

Approximately eighty eight companies have stopped advertising so far on this channel. 

Al Jazeera, the Arabic news cable channel headquartered in the Middle East (Doha, Qatar), purchased the CurrentTV channel which has the potential of reaching millions of viewers in the United States.  Al Jazeera is a mouthpiece for radical Islamists.  Al Jazeera America is the new, tentative name for CurrentTV.

FGX International certainly has the right to choose where they use their advertising dollars.  You have the same right to object and choose products from another company.   Florida Family Association has prepared an email for you to send to six FGX International officials.
