Senator Chuck Schumer (D) New York was the first democratic senator to announce his opposition to Obama’s deal with Iran.  Two other senators listed in our online alerts have also decided to vote against the Iran deal.   Senator Robert Menendez (D) New Jersey announced on August 18, 2015 that he would oppose the Iran deal.  Senator Jeff Flake (R) Arizona, the only Republican to waiver, announced on August 15, 2015 that he would oppose the Iran deal.  Our August 2015 newsletter urged supporters to send postcards to Senator Schumer was in the process of being printed and mailed defend the national security of Israel and America by voting against and encouraging other senators to vote against the Iran deal. 

Some senators have not yet publicly communicated how they intend to vote on Obama's deal with Iran.  This is what is wrong with the agreement:

• The Iran deal does not permit anytime, anywhere inspections of Iran’s military facilities.
• The Iran deal lifts the ban on other countries sending Iran conventional weapons in five years and intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of hitting the United States in eight years.
• The Iran deal, valued at $150 billion, is worth more than all the U.S. aid to Israel since 1948. $150 billion would go to a single regime that has been a state sponsor of terrorism for the entire 36 years of its existence.  

The deal does not prevent a nuclear Iran.  It paves the way for the largest state sponsor of terrorism to obtain nuclear weapons and become a major military power.
