The Miss World American pageantry started blocking emails of concern after it received thousands of emails within the first eighteen hours of the online campaign.  Florida Family Association is now asking people to send emails to encourage the pageantry's top sponsor to drop Miss World America because of its intolerance for legitimate First Amendment conservative political expression.

CAIR is rejoicing
that Miss World America has stripped Kathy Zhu of her Miss Michigan crown.

USA Today published an article titled Miss Michigan stripped of title over 'offensive' social media posts.  The article reports in part:

The tweets Zhu claims caused Miss World America to dissociate with her have spurred backlash on social media.

Zhu still defends the two now-deleted tweets that have generated the controversy.

The first was an incident that dates to 2018, in which Zhu went up to a Muslim Student Association booth celebrating World Hijab Day and declined to wear a hijab when prompted. She then tweeted:

"There is a 'try a hijab on' booth at my college campus.  So you're telling me that it's now just a fashion accessory and not a religious thing? Or are you just trying to get women used to being oppressed under Islam?"

"I said that it was (getting women used to) being oppressed because there are so many women in Middle Eastern countries that are being punished and stoned for refusing to wear a hijab," Zhu said. "Nobody is talking about that in the West because all they see is everyone being at peace, but that is the beauty of America."

Zhu transferred to the University of Michigan after the backlash of this incident.

"This applies for every community," Zhu said. "If there is a problem, fix things in your own community before lashing out at others and trying to find an issue there. That is all I wanted to say. It is not a problem against black people. Obviously I am not racist or stuff like that."

Zhu said that Miss World America should be more specific and clearly define what "insensitive" means, as she does not believe anything she posted was insensitive.

Representatives for Miss World America did not respond to comment after multiple requests for comment.

Miss World America pageantry should remove the word “America” from its name if it cannot extend tolerance for legitimate First Amendment conservative political expression.  To many people including many Muslim women, the hijab exemplifies Islamist oppression that is antithetical to the freedoms and liberties bestowed upon all women who are under the protection of the United States Constitution.

Tens of millions of Americans including thousands of Muslim women view the hijab as a symbol of Islamist, misogynistic repression.   Nearly sixty percent of Muslims in America do not wear the hijab according to Pew Research published by NPR on April 21, 2011.  Even fewer wear it today.

The hijab was invented and mandated by Mussah Sadr, an Iranian mullah, in the 1970s, 1300 years after the Quran was written.  Sadr issued a Sharia edict that required women to wear the hijab to allegedly prevent their rape.  Women In The World media published an article on September 15, 2015 titled “The day 100,000 Iranian women protested the head scarf.”  The article displayed a seldom-seen collection of photographs, shot in Tehran in 1979, of thousands of women who were not wearing hijabs or other oppressive attire prior to Sadr enforcing Iran’s new Islamist hijab law.   British Muslim Qanta Ahmed wrote on March 18, 2017 in The Spectator UK:  “As a Muslim, I strongly support the right to ban the veil.  At last, the European Court of Justice has made a stand for European values.  Rigid interpretations of the veil are a recent invention. They’re derived not from the Quran or early Islamic tradition but from a misogyny which claims a false basis in the divine.”

The same Sharia law that dictates women must wear the hijab also advocates harsh discipline (abuse) of wives, genital mutilation of girls and honor killing of allegedly dishonorable females.  The hijab exemplifies Islamist oppression towards women that is commanded by Sharia law and fatwas.  It epitomizes the cruel creed that it represents.

The pageantry and its sponsors might not like the harsh truth about the Islamist hijab but censoring it and rejection of the people who speak it is shameful and offensive.

Jacob & Company, a fine jeweler, is listed as the top sponsor at the Miss World America website. The Miss World America pageantry started blocking emails from people who sent them through Florida-family.org after it received thousands of emails.  Therefore, the Miss World America pageantry appears to be indifferent to the concerns of many Americans and requests that it recognize true American liberty and First Amendment tolerance by restoring Kathy Zhu’s crown and title.

Florida Family Association has prepared an email for you to send to urge Jacob and Company to stop sponsoring Miss World America after it dethroned  Kathy Zhu.
