Rep Spartz says she will now vote to remove Omar from committee. Now 2 GOP US Representative holdouts may jeopardize removal of Ilhan Omar from Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Please send the emails prepared below to the two US Reps.

Florida Family Association sent out an email alert on January 31, 2023 titled: “3 GOP US Representative holdouts may jeopardize removal of Ilhan Omar from Committee on Foreign Affairs.  Please send emails urging them to change their position.”

The Hill now reports that Representative Victoria Spartz (R-IN) “says she will support McCarthy in denying Omar seat on Foreign Affairs committee.”

NBC now reports “House GOP readies vote to oust Rep. Omar from Foreign Affairs Committee.  The vote on the resolution to remove Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., from the committee could come Wednesday, marking an escalation in a long-running partisan fight over assignments.”

Axios published an article titled McCarthy's bid to oust Omar from committee in peril as third GOP rep. objects.  The article reports in part:

By the numbers: With a five-vote margin and Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.) unable to vote as he recovers from an accident, McCarthy is dangerously close to falling short of the GOP votes he needs.

•    Buck is the third House Republican to say they oppose removing Omar, along with Reps. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) and Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.).

•    Democrats, for their part, are likely to form a united front. “We are still doing the work but [are] confident all factions of the caucus are united against the attempt to remove her,” a Democratic leadership aide told Axios.

•    McCarthy will need to run the table with those Republicans who remain undecided, including Biden-supporting district Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) and David Valadao (R-Calif.) and Rep. Dave Joyce (R-Ohio), the chair of the moderate Republican Governance Group.

Ilhan Omar’s passion for hostile Islamist doctrine and hate for Israel should disqualify her from serving on the Committee on Foreign Affairs:

•    The Federalist reports Rep. Ilhan Omar Refuses To Denounce Al-Qaeda, Islamic Terrorism.

•    Rep. Ilhan Omar raised funds for Hamas linked, Muslim Brotherhood linked, terror linked Council On America Islamic Relations (CAIR).  The United Arab Emirates, a broad coalition of Arab Countries named CAIR a terrorist organization

•    When Democrats controlled the House of Representatives they took no action against Rep Ilhan Omar for her virulent anti-Semitic diatribes against Israel.

Florida Family Association has prepared TWO SEPARATE emails to send to Reps. Buck and Mace urge them to remove Rep. Ilhan Omar from the Committee on Foreign Affairs.  It is important that these emails be sent separately so that the representatives do not see them arriving as joint emails.

Unlike most of Florida Family Association action emails these three emails will open in your own email client.  This form of email is being used because the House of Representatives has had a long standing policy to block emails sent through the florida-family.org action email server.  If the emails doe not open properly in your email client please consider using the information below to copy, paste and send this action email in your own email software.
