Florida Family Association recently sent out an email alert titled Iowa Senator Joni Ernst stands in the way of Trump nomination apparently hoping she can get the job. 

The Senator’s office started blocking emails after receiving many from FFA subscribers.  Senator Ernst’s office rerouted the email Florida Family Association prepared for people to send to  lisa_goeas@ernst.senate.gov  to senator@ernst.senate.gov .  The changed email address resulted in bouncing emails back to senders.

Senator Ernst is still UNCOMMITTED regarding a Yes or No vote for Pete Hegseth for Defense Secretary.  Here are some reports that confirm her lack of a firm commitment:

The Des Moines Register published a report on December 9th at 4:00 pm that was used by other media titled Key GOP holdout Joni Ernst says she will 'support' Pete Hegseth through nomination process. 

The Des Moines Register made it clear that Ernst would NOT confirm a yes or no for Hegseth with the following statement:  Ernst's staff would not clarify whether her statement means she will vote in support of Hegseth's nomination.  "She supports Pete through this process," spokesperson Kelsi Daniell said in a text message. Ernst echoed that to CNN, saying, "I support the process."

Axois reported at 12:00 noon on December 10th:  Joni Ernst signals openness after "encouraging" talk with Pete Hegseth.  "As I support Pete through this process, I look forward to a fair hearing based on truth," Ernst stated.  

Politico reported at 3:45 PM on December 10th: What we’re watching: Ernst appears warmer on Hegseth. 

As of the writing of this email alert there is NO report that quotes Senator Ernst as saying that she will vote for Pete Hegseth.

Florida Family Association has prepared a new email for you to send that goes to another top staffer in Senator Ernst’s office.  Please know that there is a chance they may divert your email like they did with emails sent to Ernst’s chief of staff.

Please send the email prepared below regardless of any new reports surrounding Senator Ernst’s position regarding Donald Trump’s nomination of Pete Hegseth for Defense Secretary.  She needs to know that this type of shenanigan is politically unhealthy and selfishly irresponsible.

News reports state that you are trying to sink the Hegseth nomination so that you can get the job.  It is politically unhealthy and irresponsible for the selfish ambition of one senator to hinder the conservative agenda of the most popularly elected president of our times.  It is truly egregious that you believe your personal ambitions are more important than the agenda of President Elect Donald Trump.  Please show unadulterated support for the nominations made by Donald Trump.  I urge you to support the nomination of Pete Hegseth for Defense Secretary.
