Florida Family Association launched campaigns in August 2025 and October 2025 that gave people the opportunity to urge President Trump to investigate the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and consider revoking CAIR’s tax exempt status like President George W. Bush did.  President Obama restored CAIR’s tax exempt status immediately after taking office.

President Trump issued an order on November 24, 2025 titled “DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD CHAPTERS AS FOREIGN TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS AND SPECIALLY DESIGNATED GLOBAL TERRORISTS.” 

This order did not include CAIR.   

Additionally, CAIR issued a statement that declares that it is not affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood in any manner. 

CAIR has been destructive to American values and public safety with its dozens of frivolous lawsuits, advocacy for convicted terrorists, opposition to federal policies that protect Americans from terror, inherent advocacy for anti-Semitism and agenda to replace the United States Constitution with Sharia law.

Nihad Awad, CAIR Executive Director, proclaimed a plan to install 50 Muslims in congress during his speech at the 61st Annual Islamic Society of North America convention on August 30, 2024.  Awad said “That’s really the essence of dismantling the system of injustice is to replace it with the people of good will (ie Islamists) who represent the prophet Abu Salama.”   Click here to see Youtube.com video of Nihad Awad’s speech. 

The “system of injustice” to be replaced that Awad must be referring to is the United States Constitution.  What other law would Muslims want in its place but Sharia?

CAIR is the largest Muslim organization that is pushing the Islamist political and social agenda in the United States.
