The proposed North Texas Muslim development, originally known as "EPIC City" and linked to the East Plano Islamic Center, is rebranding to "The Meadow". This change follows significant backlash and state investigations in 2025 regarding the project near Josephine, aimed at rebranding the development amidst ongoing controversy. Developers plan to move forward with "The Meadows."
Additionally, BareNakedIslam.com reports: A U.S. subsidiary of the Dubai-based development company, SEE Holding, in connection with Kaufman Solar LLC has purchased thousands of acres near Kaufman, Texas. The proposed development has been alleged to be for the purpose of creating a “sustainable Muslim city” and it’s been noted that as many as 20,000 foreign Muslim nationals could be able to move into the new development.
The development of Muslim communities based upon Sharia law which is antithetical to the rights afforded all Americans under the Constitution of the United States is illegal.
Preventing non-Muslims from purchasing real estate violates federal law. The Fair Housing Act of 1968 prohibits discrimination based on religion in housing transactions. While religious organizations may limit non-commercial housing to their own members, this exception does not allow discrimination based on race, color, or national origin.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott took a strong stand in 2025 against the EPIC development. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued developers to stop EPIC on December 5, 2025. Florida Family Association launched several email campaigns to counter the EPIC Sharia run community in September 2025.
Governor Abbott certainly knows about these developments. It is important that many likeminded people inform him that they are aware of the developments and urge him to stand strong.
