Jimmy Kimmel headlined New York Mayor Zorhan Mamdani as a guest on his September 28, 2026 show.  Kimmel applauded Mamdani while taking the opportunity again to mock President Trump.   Kimmel also mocked public concerns regarding Mamdani’s economic “destruction of New York.”  

Grok reports “Coverage of DSA’s recent electoral gains consistently treats him (Zorhan Mamdani) as the organization’s highest-profile elected official and its current “banner-carrier.”

Democratic Socialists of America’s 2021 convention platform and later program documents call for:

•    Social ownership and democratic control of utilities and key industries (railroads, water, gas, electric, telecom, media, internet, finance, insurance, real estate).

•    Nationalization of railroads, fossil-fuel producers, critical manufacturing, and technology companies.

•    Public ownership of the largest corporations and essential industries.

•    Using state action to acquire private property (especially rental housing as landlords exit) and convert it to publicly or democratically controlled social housing.

•    Collective land ownership and decommodifying housing and land.

•    Dismantling institutions they say protect capital such as police, prisons, ICE, borders, private housing markets. 

The DSA platform espouses communist policies.

Mamdani claims that he is a socialist but his tweet indicates that a communist is the kind of mayor NYC needs and the public policies that he likes.  In a December 2020 tweet, Mamdani asked "So what kind of mayor does NYC need right now?" and cited Arya Rajendran, Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram and Communist Party of India (Marxist) member, as a positive model for a future mayor of New York.   

McDonald’s does not advertise on Fox News because it claims that “we are not going to engage in politics.”  HOWEVER, McDonald’s wants frequent visibility on Jimmy Kimmel live which devotes its monologue to trashing President Trump and millions of conservatives as well as inviting leftist politicians to be guests on his show.  What doublespeak.

Grok reports:  McDonald’s has a long-standing practice of staying out of political news programming. Former U.S. CMO Tariq Hassan put it directly: the company was “declarative that we were not going to engage in politics” and “didn’t advertise our market news.”  That is the core reason you do not see their commercials on Fox News (or typically on CNN or MSNBC either). 

Kimmel had many leftist politicians as quests on his show including but not limited to Bernie Sanders (upcoming Brooklyn taping, October 2026), Cory Booker (May 2025), Raphael Warnock (October 2024), Mark Kelly (November 2025), Adam Schiff (March 2025),Rep. Jasmine Crockett (multiple appearances, including June 2024), Rep. Eric Swalwell (multiple appearances, including 2024 and 2025), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appeared as a congressional candidate in 2018, Gavin Newsom (March 2026), Gretchen Whitmer (October 2024) and Tim Walz (October 2024).

However, Kimmel has not had a conservative official on his show since 2017 when Donald Trump took office.

Florida Family Association has launched two campaigns where McDonald’s officials received thousands of emails protesting Kimmel's hate, POLITICAL HATE, for Donald Trump, political hate for tens of millions of MAGA supporters, political hate for Turning Point USA and political hate for Charlie Kirk supporters.   Therefore, McDonald’s CLEARLY KNOWS that Jimmy Kimmel’s show is far left political propaganda but chooses to continue to advertise on his program despite the former CMO’s claim that “we are not going to engage in politics. 

Jimmy Kimmel is one of the most hate filled hosts on television.  Kimmel rarely misses a night on his show to degrade, mock and encourage detesting sentiment toward President Trump and the tens of millions of Americans who support him.  Disney continues to decline to state whether it will renew Kimmel’s contract in 2027.  

The fact that McDonald’s won’t advertise on Fox News but is determined to advertise on Jimmy Kimmel Live indicates that McDonald’s may have a strong bias for leftist politics and is not honest about its reasons for not advertising on political programs.
