CNS News published an article titled: CAIR and Rep. Omar Pressing Biden Administration to Appoint ‘Islamophobia’ Envoy. The article reports in part:
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) says it’s been calling for the government to appoint a special envoy to monitor and combat “Islamophobia” for two decades, but with President Biden in office and lawmakers led by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) promoting the issue, it is hopeful of success.
Omar and Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday, urging him to create a special envoy, and asking him to “specifically include anti-Muslim violence per se” in the State Department’s next annual human rights report. They joined several Democratic colleagues and CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad at a press conference on Capitol Hill Wednesday to announce the initiative.
Omar offered some examples of the behavior she has been confronted with, ranging from having chewing gum stuck onto her hijab at school to telephonic insults and threats received by her office in Congress.
Omar referred to a U.N. human rights expert’s testimony to the Human Rights Council earlier this year to the effect that “institutional suspicion of Muslims and those perceived to be Muslim has escalated to epidemic proportions.”
“It is for this reason that we are calling on the State Department to create a special envoy to combat Islamophobia, and to include state-sponsored Islamophobic violence and impunity for Islamophobic violence in next year’s annual human rights report.”
Omar said she would also be introducing legislation that would give the envisaged envoy “the force of law.”
CAIR issued a press release to report its unity with the leftist democrats.
According to Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch, should the USCMO succeed in its goal to see a special envoy to “monitor and combat Islamophobia” in America, the systematic hunting down and cancelling of organizations, websites, and individuals who criticize or offend Islam would be in order.
Creating a squad to enforce the Sharia law edict that prohibits truthful criticism of Islam would violate the First Amendment, Establishment Clause and equal protection of the law. Many people and organizations, including other religions, rightfully educate others and express concern regarding the barbarism, inhumanity and incivility of certain edicts and fatwas of Islam. No one religion should be given special treatment by government tasking a special squad to enforce the religious laws of that one religion to censor truthful criticism.
Clearly, these members of congress believe that the First Amendment should apply to some citizens but not all. These US Representatives wrongfully believe that certain categories of Americans they favor have superior First Amendment rights to the categories of Americans that they hate.

Dear President Biden, Clearly, some members of congress wrongfully believe that certain categories of Americans they favor have superior First Amendment rights to the categories of Americans that they hate. Some members of congress who believe that the First Amendment should apply to some citizens but not all citizens are urging you to appoint a special envoy to monitor and combat so-called Islamophobia.
