Minnesota Democrats block subpoena which would have required Ilhan Omar to provide documents relating to her alleged ties to the $250 million Feeding Our Future pandemic food program fraud.

Please send the two emails to House Speaker and Representative Mike Johnson that are provided at the bottom of this article

A Minnesota House fraud oversight committee fell one vote short of the two-thirds majority required to subpoena Rep. Omar regarding her alleged ties to the $250 million "Feeding Our Future" pandemic food program fraud. The subpoena sought documents and communications between her office and individuals convicted in the scheme.

Democrats on the Minnesota House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee blocked an attempt to subpoena U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar. The motion failed to get the six votes required, as all five Republicans voted in favor while three Democrats opposed it.

The Republican-led committee sought to subpoena Omar’s communications regarding the massive federal Feeding Our Future pandemic child nutrition fraud scandal.  Republicans targeted Omar due to her sponsorship of the federal MEALS Act in 2020, which they claim loosened oversight, and her promotion of a Minneapolis restaurant tied to the scheme.

Rep. Omar denied any connections to the scheme or prior knowledge of the fraud, stating that claims suggesting otherwise are "flat-out false".

Fox News published an article titled:  “WATCH: Omar silent when confronted on alleged ties to massive Minnesota fraud scandal.”  The article reports in part:

"Did you ask Minnesota Democrats to block the subpoena for the investigation of Feeding Our Future on the state level?" Omar was asked when confronted in the halls of Congress on Monday, but did not respond.

She then ignored a second question: "Would you cooperate with that subpoena and provide documents if they request it here in the House Oversight Committee?"

Following the blocked vote, the committee's chair turned to federal congressional leaders, asking U.S. oversight committees to intervene and help obtain the records.

Ilhan Omar refusing to provided records and Minnesota Democrats voting to oppose subpoenaing those records related to the $250 million Feeding Our Future pandemic food program fraud is an affront to tens of millions of hard working taxpaying Americans.
