Florida Family Association:
Influenced the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas linked AL JAZEERA AMERICA to shut down after two years of intense monitoring efforts. Al Jazeera, whose leaders spew hate for Israel, who showed disdain for Charlie Hebdo Jihad victims, is a news company that is owned by the non-democratic, monarch styled emirate of Qatar who allows wealthy citizens to financially support ISIS, supports the Muslim Brotherhood, backs the head of Hamas, espouses Islamic Sharia law and does not afford citizens freedom of the press. Al Jazeera purchased Current TV in January 2013 and changed it to Al Jazeera America. Florida Family Association started urging companies immediately to stop advertising on the channel. Florida Family Association's efforts that influenced 260 out of 275 (95%) companies not to advertise on Al Jazeera America played a huge role in their decision to close the channel. The New York Times reports "In a memo to the staff, Al Jazeera America’s chief executive, Al Anstey, said the “decision by Al Jazeera America’s board is driven by the fact that our business model is simply not sustainable in light of the economic challenges in the U.S. media marketplace." Influenced Fox to cancel production of a Muslim propaganda sitcom called Chad: An American Boy. Variety.com reported: Fox has ordered a pilot for “Chad: An American Boy,” a comedy which will star “SNL” alum Nasim Pedrad as a 14-year-old boy in a Middle Eastern Family. Nasim Pedrad is a 34 year old woman playing the role of a 14 year old boy who is the figure head of a Muslim family in America. The overwhelming number of Muslim families in America have an adult male as head of the household, not a 14 year old boy. That made it unlikely that the show would have depicted in any remotely realistic manner the way women are treated in observant Muslim homes. Florida Family Association launched an online campaign on March 15, 2016 that asked people to send an email to inform officials at 21st Century Fox that they would urge companies to stop advertising on Chad: An American Boy if Fox aired the program. In August 2016, Fox cancelled their plans to produce the show after receiving thousands of emails from Florida Family Association supporters. Full report.
Influenced two hundred thirty seven (237) out of two hundred seventy (270) companies to stop advertising at Huffingtonpost.com because it published numerous erroneous Islamophobia propaganda articles. Huffington Post propaganda mocks, belittles and blames people who are concerned about radical Islam in a manner that impairs the willingness of some people to speak up for public safety. Florida Family Association started sending emails in April 2016 to encourage the CEO and Marketing Vice President of companies that advertise at Huffingtonpost.com to stop supporting the website's bias with their advertising dollars. Islamophobia propaganda is the top tool Islamists use to influence Americans to ignore advancement of Sharia doctrine in America. Unfortunately, it intimidates people to the point of stifling free speech in a manner that hurts public safety. Fear of being branded an Islamophobe played a role in suppressing communications that may have saved the lives of 63 Jihad victims in San Bernardino and Orlando. Full report.
Influenced the Citadel to say NO to cadet's request to wear hijab. Florida Family Association sent out two email alerts in April 2016 which reported The Citadel considers breaking a 175 year old dress code to allow female Muslim cadets to wear hijabs. More than five thousand (5,000) people sent emails through Floridafamily.org urging Citadel officials to reject the request to allow cadets to wear hijabs. CBS News reported on May 10, 2016: The Citadel military college has decided a newly admitted Muslim student cannot wear her traditional Muslim headscarf if she enrolls. Commandant of Cadets Geno Paluso decided allowing the student to wear the head covering known as a hijab wouldn't be consistent with the school's policy of having cadets look similar. The hijab is a symbol of oppression that is fostered by strict adherents of Sharia law which is antithetical to the rights afforded under the United States Constitution. Islamists who want to Islamize America instead of assimilate into American culture are pushing these Sharia style customs. Full report.
Influenced the Ohio Civil Rights Commission to reject and repudiate CAIR-OH complaint that Columbus Police unlawfully denied Muslim right to wear hijab while on duty. “On August 20, 2015, Charging Party, Council on American Islamic Relations, Ohio (CAIR-OH), filed an affidavit with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission alleging that Respondent, City of Columbus, Division of Police, engaged in unlawful discriminatory practices. Specifically, CAIR-OH filed a sworn charge alleging a female police cadet, Ismahan Isse, was forced to resign because the police division did not allow her to wear her religiously mandated hijab (headscarf) while on duty. Florida Family Association sent out several email alerts that asked people to send emails to encourage the Ohio Governor and Civil Rights Commissioners to uphold Columbus Police Department's "values neutral dress code" for law enforcement officers. More than fifteen thousand (15,000) people sent emails through Floridafamily.org to the governor and commission. On July 28, 2016, the commission unanimously voted to uphold the Columbus Police Department’s “values neutral dress code.” Full report.
Influenced Hampshire College to restore the American flag to its rightful place. Florida Family Association sent out email alerts on November 28, 2016 and November 29, 2016 titled Hampshire College bans flying American flag so it can focus on halting Islamophobia, promoting gay rights. The email alerts encouraged people to send an email that educated Hampshire College Board of Trustees and officers regarding the negative influence of alleged Islamophobia educational campaigns on public safety and urged them to return the American flag to its rightful place. More than 5,000 people sent emails to each of Hampshire College’s nineteen Board of Trustees and four Executive Officers as of December 1, 2016. Additionally, over a thousand people waved American flags in front of the college campus on Sunday, November 27, 2016 to protest removal of the flag. Masslive.com reported on December 2, 2016 Hampshire College raises the American flag Friday morning. Full report.
Countered CAIR’s demand that an election official reinstate a voting precinct at a mosque the president of which is the FAU professor who advocates Sharia sanctioned cutting off of hands. Palm Beach County's elections supervisor moved a polling station from a Boca Raton mosque to a public library after receiving complaints from voters regarding the mosque’s president, Bassem Alhalabi, who advocated Sharia cutting off of hands as punishment during a Florida Atlantic University Islamophobia college campus event held on May 23, 2016. CAIR demanded that the Supervisor of Elections return the polling status back to the mosque. Thousands of people responded to Florida Family Association’s email alerts that asked supporters to send emails to thank the Supervisor of Elections and encourage her to stand her ground. Susan Bucher, Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections, stood her ground. Full report.
Encouraged Cargill not to cave in to CAIR’s demand for mass Muslim prayers in the workplace. CAIR represented a group of Muslim employees who wanted Cargill to provide for mass Muslim worship in the workplace several times per day. This would have resulted in making Islamic Salah times for Muslim prayers a priority over a company’s efficiency and profitability. It would also have placed an unfair burden on other employees. Thousands of people responded to Florida Family Association’s email alerts that asked them to send emails to encourage Cargill officials to stand their ground. Cargill stood their ground. Encouraged judge to deny bail for San Bernardino Jihad weapons purchaser. Several news agencies reported on December 22, 2015: Saying that he remains a "danger" to the community, a federal judge ordered that Enrique Marquez, former neighbor of one of the San Bernardino shooters, be held without bail. Enrique Marquez was charged with conspiracy support of terrorists on December 17, 2015. Florida Family Association sent out email alerts that reported Bail hearing for San Bernardino weapons purchaser was set for Monday, December 21, 2015. The email alerts encouraged subscribers to send emails urging the magistrate judge to "put public safety first and show zero tolerance for any involvement in terrorism by denying bail for Enrique Marquez." The email subscribers sent to the court also stated: "Most law enforcement professionals would conclude that the combination of Marquez’s violent fanaticism and suicidal tendencies pose a serious public safety risk." Thousands of people sent emails urging the court to deny bail. One would think that no federal judge would grant bail to a person who enabled one of the worst Islamist terrorist attacks in America since September 11, 2001. However, judges have released on bond people accused of supporting terrorism. U.S. District Magistrate Judge James Knepp’s release of Sultane Roome Salim in December 2015 is an example. Full report.
Influenced UC Berkeley to pull back their presence at CAIR Islamophobia press conference. CAIR announced: On June 20, 2016 the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Center for Race and Gender at UC Berkeley will release a report detailing the more than $200 million provided to 33 Islamophobic groups nationwide in recent years. Thousands of people sent emails in response to Florida Family Association email alerts that encouraged them to send emails urging University of California Berkeley officials to stop publishing Islamophobia reports that suppress free speech in a manner that can adversely impact public safety. UC Berkeley was a NO show at the press conference in many ways. No personnel from UC Berkeley attended or spoke at the press conference. The backdrop and overhead graphics displayed only the CAIR name. CAIR speakers did not mention UC Berkeley. The Islamophobia report posted at Facebook.com/CAIRnational contained information from a UC Berkeley report that was prepared last year. Hopefully, UC Berkeley’s absence from the speaker podium, absence from the organizations named on the backdrop display and the absence of any new report from UC Berkeley means they will not associate with CAIR in the future. Encouraged Ariens Company not to cave in to CAIR’s demand for mass Muslim prayers in the workplace. CAIR represented a group of Muslim employees who wanted Ariens Company to provide for mass Muslim worship in the workplace several times per day. This would have resulted in making Islamic Salah times for Muslim prayers a priority over a company’s efficiency and profitability. It would also have placed an unfair burden on other employees. Thousands of people responded to Florida Family Association’s email alerts that asked them to send emails to encourage Ariens Company officials to stand their ground. Ariens Company stood their ground. Full report.
Encouraged Florida Atlantic University officials to terminate professor who praised Sharia “cutting off of hands” at Islamophobia college campus event. On May 23, 2016 Florida Atlantic University’s Muslim Student Association hosted an Islamophobia panel discussion. FAU Associate Professor Bassem Alhalabi was included on the panel where he made the case for Sharia Law and it’s provisions of capital punishment, including the cutting off of hands. Florida Family Association launched an online campaign that encouraged thousands of people to express their concern to Florida Atlantic University officials. Full report.
Asked FBI, FDLE and Orange County Sheriff where is Omar Mateen’s wife and are they going to let Noor Salman receive Mateen’s life insurance benefits? Omar Mateen killed 49 people and wounded 53 others in a mass shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida on June 12, 2016. He was killed in a shootout with the local police. Noor Salman, Omar Mateen's wife, drove Mateen to scout out Downtown Disney and the Pulse club for attack. She drove him to the gun store. She knew in advance that he planned to kill innocent people. Yet the feds allowed her to go free. Will they also allow Noor Salman to collect Omar Mateen's life insurance? The US Attorney in California filed suit to confiscate the life insurance benefits of the Jihadist killer in San Bernardino. Florida Family Association continues to pursue the truth in this case. Thanked Southwest Airlines and encouraged the United States Department of Transportation Acting General Counsel to put public safety over political correctness in CAIR discrimination complaint against Southwest Airlines. CAIR filed a complaint with U. S. Department of Transportation Office of Aviation Enforcement and Proceedings against Southwest Airlines for alleged racial and religious profiling of a Muslim passenger. In its complaint, CAIR-SFBA stated: "We write to request a federal investigation on behalf of our client, Mr. Khairuldeen Makhzoomi, who was removed from a Southwest Airlines flight for speaking Arabic while sitting in a plane." Florida Family Association sent out email alerts in October 2016 that encouraged people to send an email to thank Southwest Airline officials for putting public safety first and send another email to urge the U.S. Department of Transportation to put public safety first when resolving this complaint. Report one and report two.
Supported law enforcement after CAIR Chicago opposed counter terror tactical training by the Illinois Tactical Officers Association. On October 4, 2016 CAIR-Chicago expressed concerns about anti-Muslim and hyper-militarized tactical training at the upcoming Illinois Tactical Officers Association’s 2016 Tactical Training Conference taking place at the Stonegate Conference Center from October 9-13. CAIR-Chicago is calling on Stonegate as well as Cook County Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (DHSEM) and other government agencies to end their relationships with ITOA. Florida Family Association launched an online campaign that encouraged people to send emails to thank Illinois Tactical Officers Association, Cook County Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management and Stonegate Conference and Banquet Center officials for their efforts to properly train law enforcement to more fully understand how to protect the public from terrorism. Thousands of people sent emails expressing their appreciation. Full report.
Supported law enforcement after CAIR opposed counter terror tactical training by a Virginia Sheriff. On October 24, 2016, CAIR called on the Green County Sheriff’s office to drop sponsorship of a November 5, 2016 “Understanding the Threat” seminar being conducted by former FBI Special Agent and counter terrorism expert John Guandolo because CAIR claimed that “he is a notorious Islamophobe and anti-Muslim conspiracy theorist.” Florida Family Association launched an online campaign that encouraged people to send emails to thank Green County Sheriff Steven Smith for his efforts to properly train law enforcement to more fully understand how to protect the public from terrorism. Thousands of people sent emails expressing their appreciation. Full report.
Christianpost.org reports the following regarding Florida Family Association: “Don't let the name deceive you. Florida Family Association is a national organization that harnesses online citizen activism through its massive email list to change organizations through economic and public pressure. They urge companies not to advertise on the Islamic terror apologist network Al Jazeera, remind universities to support free speech and not cancel films and speakers critical of Islamism, and hold the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) feet to the fire for their leaders past support for terrorism and saying Muslims are above the law of the land.” Christianpost.org report.
The Council on American Islamic Relations reports the following in their Islamophobia Report about Florida Family Association: “The Florida Family Association, founded in 1987 by David Caton, has pressured companies and courts to adhere to anti-Muslim practices. Despite operating only in Florida, FFA has garnered national attention. FFA is part of the U.S. Islamophobia network's inner core.” CAIR report.
Florida Family Association unites tens of thousands of people across America through the Floridafamily.org action email center to counter the Islamist political agenda in America. More than sixty five percent of Florida Family Association’s supporters reside outside of the Florida.
